 Introductions: Around the table with the question “What has you excited, what is going on in your life?”

Approval of the minutes of the last meeting, Sep 11th, 2014.

 Membership and Financial: 

         We now have 47 members 
         Financially we are in good shape (Balance > $4500)         


Class with Doris Sheldon is scheduled for Jan 17 & 18, 2015.  Currently have 3 people signed up. Please let Bob know if you are interested.

 Bob is working on bringing Chris Hammock in to teach a “Bar Fly” class next fall.

To minimize travel costs, Bob is trying to arrange with Melfort and/or Medicine Hat that they too would host a class. Again please let Bob know if you are interested.

Motion: That the Regina Whittlers and Woodcarvers subsidize a class lead by Chris Hammock up to $600.

 Another Beginner Class is scheduled for December 5 & 6. Please contact Bill Dearborn if you are interested or know of someone who is.

A Shareshop is scheduled for March 14 & 15, 2015 at Cactus Wood Crafts, just outside of Saskatoon. Mark your calendars.

Club is having a display on November 22, at O’Neill High School as part of the Coronation Park craft show.


Always open for photos of members carvings. Both the Newsletter and the Website need your contributions.

 2015 Show: at the Tartan Curling Club May 2nd & 3rd.

          Our club will take the lead this year. Last year the Woodturners had the lead.
          We need a Core Planning Committee and Task Groups
          Please give this some thought as the process gets started


Discussed Gerald Ford’s initiative with providing Comfort Birds to the Cancer Clinic.

Good job, Gerry!! The club carving bee on November 8th added to Gerry’s flock with 12 carvers working on the birds. Gerry will continue to bring blanks to our meetings for members to work on. Will look at hosting another bee in the New Year. Thanks to Tory for the use of his shop!


Christmas Social. The December club meeting will be the Christmas Social on December 11th.  Please bring your spouse/partner, some carving pieces for the Show and Tell table and a carving exchange piece if you are interested.  Herb Klassen was authorized to organize the food ($200).
