Information/questions/concerns from or for:

Herb reported that at the end of April, 2016 we have a balance of      $6900.00. In actuality we have about $6000.00 as Herb has paid all current bills including $400.00 insurance for the club. The club has about a $1000.00 loss for the year.

  • There will be a SHARESHOP held at the Seniors Complex next to the Neil Balkwill Centre on September 17 and 18, 2016.

  • Emile Gaudet has offered to hold a Class on "Power Carving a Chickadee" in the fall. Please let Herb know if you are interested in attending.

Website – The website is very up-to-date and looks very good.

Newsletter – Our newsletter looks so good and we all thank Samir for his hard work.

            Secretary – no comments

  • Linda talked about our clubs  Spring Show along with the Wood Turners.   Herb added that there were 33 Tables and 57 guests for Supper. In total the club's profit was $1092.00 which was split between our club and the Turners ($546 each). We had 23 people sign up for lessons. This year the Turners took the lead but next year is our clubs turn to take the lead for the Show. The Tartan is already reserved to April 22 and 23, 2017.

  • Linda put an ad in "Grey Matters" magazine for our Show at her own expense.

  • Linda mentioned that she used 'CJTR' as part of her Show publishing program. 'CJTR' will keep our club on their radar for future events and happenings especially if the club becomes a Supporting Organization which can be done for a mere $30.00 a year. Motion was put forward on this matter (Gerald Ford/Bob Demenchuk) Carried.

  • The Consignment Table at the Show appeared to be a success, netting the show about $28.00 from consignment fees.

Queen City Ex - August 3rd to 7th. Exhibit hours Noon until 8 pm. Sunday,     August 7 (9:30 to 11am is free entrance). Exhibiters should be present at     exhibits by 10 or 10:30am.

Linda will be contacting all of us towards the end of June to see who wants to help and/or bring carvings for the display. As in other years we will take shifts.  More information will be in Linda's letter.
